love

This is for you my special one (K)  Je t'aime
I love you
Our research and that of other scientists suggest that activation of the vagus nerve is associated with feelings of care taking and the ethical intuition that humans from different social groups even adversarial ones share a common humanity. People who have high vagus nerve activation in a resting state, we have found, are prone to feeling emotions that promote altruism  compassion, gratitude, love and happiness.

Your Brain in Love ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Your Brain in Love♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

You may have heard people say that the most important organ for love is the brain, not the heart. Research on the neuroscience of love has some interesting findings that might surprise you.

When love is a many-splendorous thing
Ever fallen madly in love? Researcher Helen Fisher has spent her academic life trying to figure out what's going on in the brains of those who are in the heady, butterflies-in-the-stomach throes of passionate romantic love. Fisher has scanned the brains of young paramours and found that when they're focusing on the object of their affection, a whole host of brain parts start lighting up. One of the two most important regions was initially a little surprising to Dr. Fisher. First, she found that the caudate nucleus part of the primitive reptilian brain is highly active in these amorous individuals. As expected, she also saw the brain areas associated with dopamine and norepinephrine production light up. Both are brain chemicals associated with pleasurable activities and excitement.

Fisher puts it best when she says, "No wonder lovers talk all night or walk till dawn, write extravagant poetry and self-revealing e-mails, cross continents or oceans to hug for just a weekend, change jobs or lifestyles, even die for one another. Drenched in chemicals that bestow focus, stamina and vigor, and driven by the motivating engine of the brain, lovers succumb to a Herculean courting urge."

Fisher also notes that other parts of the reward system, like the one that activates when you're eating chocolate, plays a role during this phase of love. She supports the hypothesis that like chocolate, being head over heels in love is addictive. Of course, dopamine is what gets released when you take a hit of cocaine, too so it's not surprising that other research suggests that for the brain, a bad break up is like kicking a drug habit.

Love and marriage
Ted Huston, on the other hand, is more interested in studying what happens throughout long-term relationships. One interesting finding over a lifetime of research is that couples who idealize one another can lead to a happier marriage. According to Huston, "Usually, this is a matter of one person putting good spin on the partner, seeing the partner as more responsive than he or she really is." Score another point for positive thinking.

Huston has also found gender differences in what makes for a happy marriage. For example, some of his studies have shown that women are happier in their marriage if they get to spend ample time with their husband and with friends and family, while men who are happy with their finances tend to be happier in the marriage. Both genders are happier when they feel they have "influence" over their spouse and when they are satisfied with their sex lives, but you probably could have guessed that without Huston's years of research.

There are, of course, those people who have been together for decades and still act like two kids in love. If you scan the brain activity of those long-married lovebirds, they look an awful lot like the scans of Helen Fisher's newly smitten sweethearts. In particular, the brain activity looks the same in regions associated with things like motivation, craving, and reward. Researcher Arthur Aron and colleagues note that "…while romantic love is a mystery, and maintaining it may never be fully understood, the study provides evidence and possibly clues to what may be essential activity in the brain for love to last."

The neuroscience of date night
Lots of relationship experts suggest that couples who have been together through the ages can keep the romance alive with regular date nights. A smashing idea! Neuroscience research shows us that date night can, in fact, help keep a relationship fresh and rewarding, but if and only if you go about it in the right way. The key here is novelty; you and your betrothed must engage in fun, exciting, and new experiences so you can get the dopamine and norepinephrine flowing and reward your brain. Remember, back when you first fell in love, dopamine and norepinephrine were a big factor as well. If you've been following the research of Dr. Michael Merzenich, you know that novelty is one of the key factors in driving brain plasticity. Can you change your brain by hitting the indoor rock climbing wall next date night?

If rock climbing isn't for you, maybe you'll appreciate an adjacent body of research from psychologist Richard Slatcher. He studied couples and found that those who hang out with other couples are "more likely to have happy and satisfying romantic relationships." It might have something to do with breaking up the routine and introducing novelty from other sources. So maybe you can still go to the same restaurant every week, provided the reservation is for 4, not 2.

Oxytocin, the love/hate hormone
You may have heard of oxytocin, sometimes called the "love hormone." Human and animal studies have shown that oxytocin plays a role in bonding; when released in your brain during certain types of human contact, it has the effect of bonding you to the other person involved. This makes a lot of sense, because oxytocin is known to be released when a woman is nursing her infant, when two people are hugging, and during sexual activity. It's also thought to be involved in other corollary emotional responses of bonding, like trust-building and empathy. Some early research has suggested that oxytocin could be used therapeutically in people who suffer from disorders like autism or schizophrenia, which hinder bonding and positive relationship development. In studies, applying a dose of oxytocin via nasal spray showed promise in such patients.

However, things are never as simple as they seem, and more recent research on oxytocin suggests a dark side to the so-called "love hormone." While affecting positive behaviors of trust and bonding, it can also affect opposite behaviors like jealousy, envy, and suspicion. This would suggest that contrary to prior belief, oxytocin triggers and amplifies social feelings of all types, not just the positive, feel-good ones. In the words of researcher Simone Shamay-Tsoory of the University of Haifa, "…when the person's association is positive, oxytocin bolsters pro-social behaviors; when the association is negative, the hormone increases negative sentiments". According to psychologist Greg Norman, this shows that "oxytocin is not a love hormone; its effects vary in different people." So maybe we should hold off on that nasal spray thing for the time being.

No room for romance? Try music instead… but not junk food
Does all this romantic mumbo-jumbo make you feel a little queasy? I have good news: a recent study showed that listening to your favorite music has a similar effect on your brain as other pleasure-inducing activities like having sex. Whether you prefer Tchaikovsky or tango, Mozart or Michael Jackson, MRI and PET scans reveal that when you listen to music that excites you, your brain releases dopamine during the most exciting moments of the song and even in anticipation of those moments.

Some things a person does can produce so much dopamine that over time, the dopamine response lessens, which means you can lose the ability to feel any kind of pleasure at all. The usual culprits of this dopamine dulling effect are things like cocaine and heroin, which is good news for the great majority of us who are not addicted to illicit substances. The bad news is that if you're addicted to fatty foods, the same thing could potentially happen to you. If you let rats eat as much cheesecake, bacon, sausage, and other fatty foods as they want, not only will they become obese, but their dopamine responses will start to attenuate over time. So while a small slice of cheesecake once in a while may get your dopamine flowing, overdoing it may have negative consequences on your brain and on your waistline.

feel “in love

I call It the quest to continuously ,” “The science
of creating heaven on earth

What do your cells have to do with love? Molecular biology and romance

We call it the “Honeymoon Effect.”

Almost everyone can remember a time when they were “head-over-heels in love.” During this juicy time of life, points out that, our perception of the world expands and our eyes twinkle with delight. Our affection isn’t limited to our selected partner; rather we are in love with life itself and it shows.

We take risks to experiment with new foods, activities and clothes. We listen more, share more and take more time for pleasure. I chuckle

how what seems hostile the day before becomes heaven on earth when we’re in love. We don’t even notice the aggressive drivers that irritated the heck out of us yesterday; today, we’re lost in daydreams and love songs.

Amazing as it may sound, each and every one of our cells behaves like a

Miniature human,. Inside you, fifty trillion minute human-
like cells work together. Cells side-by-side helping each other accomplish
pumping your heart, breathing your lungs and all the millions of tasks that
need to happen. When we feel “in love,” our cells have the vibration of love
too! Sounds pretty good! It all begins with life, which is defined by movement.
Proteins, the primal elements of life easily wrap themselves into organic

Wire sculptures and move in response to environmental signals. On the
Surface of each cell, receptor proteins receive environmental signals while he effect or proteins transform into vibrations and transmit them to the brain

Where they are interpreted. It doesn't take much imagination to picture the
Difference between how these protein sculptures move when they are “head-over-heels in love” versus when they are irritated. We’ve been there!
In the eighties, We discovered that the cell membrane is its brain,
this breakthrough research suggested that environmental signals whether of love or another emotion are primary in creating illness. We presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics, which explores how cellular chemical reactions switch genes on and off.Research in this area has found that stress, diet, behavior, toxins and other The actors activate chemical switches that regulate gene expression. We clarifies that this new area of study reveals that environmental influences are
more prominent in causing illness than genes.

WE suggest that genetic factors influence the occurrence of illness a mere 10%of the time. In other words, the perception of our environment is responsible for our body’s health 90% of the time.
Even more interesting OUR reports current research demonstrates how our protein structures are more highly activated by non-physical signals than chemical signals. In other words, our environmental perceptions have a more powerful influence on our health than drugs. Thus science is telling us, we have more innate capacity to heal our ills than the pharmacy.
This means that people are not victims of their genes as we used to think. They can change their perceptions and thus change their health. Now that’s exciting! The old biology used to take away choice and control the outcome. When you tell people they are victims, their power is diminished. The work now is to help
people change their perceptions so they can change their outcomes.” How does it work you ask? The cell is a data “chip” by its definition, Our perceptual memories and beliefs are stored in the cell membrane and constantly being transmitted to the brain for interpretation. The mind responds to these vibration messages by creating coherence between belief and reality. In other words, when your cells transmit to your mind, the mind works diligently to create the same chemical reality in your body. Thus, if you believe you will get sick, your mind will coordinate your cells to make it true. And if your cells transmit signals suggesting you are vibrant and healthy, your mind again will go about making that happen.

This power of perception is demonstrated, in studies, which found adopted children get cancer with the same propensity as their blood
siblings both raised in the same family, yet from different genetics.
In fact, “medicine has acknowledged that illness is needed in the first six years of life when beliefs are downloaded by the family into the child’s subconscious.” During these years, children’s minds are primarily in a theta brain wave pattern, which creates a hypnagogic state of mind. This trance state explains why children easily blur the boundary between fantasy and form. Walking around in a trance, young children absorb their parent’s beliefs into subconsciousmemory without question or discernment.

We explain how these subconscious downloads work by comparing
them to an iPod. When you get a new iPod, there are no recordings,
so you can’t play anything. Once you download songs to memory, you can play the downloaded songs. In fact, they are the only songs you can play. There are plenty of other choices for songs, but you can’t play them on your iPod until you download them. Similarly, whatever has been downloaded into our subconscious memory and stored in our cells is the only choice available to be heard and seen in the body.
Other choices are not possible until they are downloaded as beliefs and Perception into the subconscious. Thus, we automatically act out our parents’ beliefs, unless we are exposed to other beliefs or intentionally seed new beliefs.

We point out that the biggest problem is that people don’t believe
they can change their minds and beliefs very easily. He suggests that
if we teach our children in their first 6 years that they can change their
minds and thus their bodies, an empowering shift to love and vitality can become easy.

Not only does cellular biology have something to tell us about love

in our bodies, it also is very revealing about the nature of human
connection,. It’s called Biomimicry and is a new discipline in biology that uses nature’s best ideas to solve problems. Animals,
plants and microbes have found what works, and we can learn from
them. They demonstrate ways of functioning that have endured over 3.8 billion years of existence. We suggest cells are smarter than we are when it comes to creating successful communities. They elucidate how cells organize
themselves to have a monetary system that pays other cells according to the importance of the work they do and stores excess profits in community banks. They have a research and development system that creates technology and biochemical equivalents of expansive computer networks. Sophisticated environmental systems provide air and water purification treatment that is more technologically advanced than humans have ever imagined. The same is true for heating and cooling systems. The communication system within and amongst cells is an Internet that sends zip-coded messages directly to individual cells. They even have a criminal justice system that detains, imprisons, rehabilitates, and in a Kevorkian way, assists with the suicide of destructive cells. Unlike us, cells have organized full healthcare coverage that makes sure each cell gets what it needs to stay healthy, and an immune system that protects the cells and the body like a dedicated National Guard.

The human body work together for the success of the individual is similar to how 7 billion human beings could work together for the success of the planet. He points out we haven’t been doing such nearly as good a job as cells.
We emphasizes that our individual mind like an individual cell has
far less awareness than the consciousness of the whole group. When a cell fulfills its evolution, it assembles into colonies with other evolved cells to share and expand the capability of consciousness. There’s a “no cell left behind” attitude and the economic appropriation of resources to support the whole I say we would do well as a collective to evolve to such a high level of consciousness as our cells.“Science suggests that the next stage of human evolution will be marked by awareness that we are all interdependent cells within the super-organism called humanity.”

First, however, we must work in our own back yard, “We
must change the evolution of our individual selves so the collective
consciousness can progress.” He urges us to get our lives back by
rewriting our perceptions so we can create that head-over-heels in love state-of-mind again and again and again. He encourages us to download new beliefs of empowerment and love into cellular memory, so our cells have new lovely tunes to play with lyrics that affirm our lovability.

I call It the quest to continuously feel “in love,” “The science
of creating heaven on earth.” And science has spoken about such
things,. For example, Heart Math researchers have
found the impact of love itself is real and biochemically measurable,
“When subjects focus their attention on the heart and activate a core heart feeling, such as love, appreciation, or caring, these emotions immediately shift their heartbeat rhythms into a more coherent pattern. Increasing heartbeat coherence activates a cascade of neural and biochemical events that affect virtually every organ in the body. Studies demonstrate that heart coherence leads to more intelligence by reducing the activity of the sympathetic nervous system our fight- or-flight mechanism while simultaneously increasing the growth- promoting activity of the parasympathetic nervous system.” As a result, stress hormones are reduced and the anti-aging hormone DHEA is produced. Love actually does make us healthier, happier, and longer- living.
It turns out molecular biology and love actually is a match made in
heaven. We challenge You to study and understand how to
experience that heaven on earth continuously, with dancing proteins on our cells that swoon and sway with love.

Hope you enjoyed and many blessings.

LOVE

Love, Human and Divine
The Philosophy of Love
The soul on its way to manifestation passes through four states, Ilm, Ishq, Wujud, Shuhud.
Ilm is the original state of the consciousness, the pure intelligence.
Ishq is love, the next step of the intelligence towards manifestation; therefore intelligence and love are the same in their essence. Objects, such as rocks and trees, have no intelligence, therefore they have no love, except a little perception of love that exists in plant life, but among beasts and birds intelligence develops; that is why in them love begins to show itself.
Wujud is the objective world, whose purpose it is to be loved, for love could not manifest unless there were an object to love.
Shuhud is the realization of love's experience, in whatever aspect it may be. The word love is derived from the Sanskrit word Lobh, which means desire, wish; the same word is used in the Russian language, Liubov. Love may be called in other words the desire to be conscious of the object of love. Therefore Shuhud, the realization of love, is the only object of every soul. It is love in different aspects which is known by all such names as will, wish, desire, kindness, favor, and so forth.

In love abides all knowledge. It is mankind's love and interest in things that in time reveals their secret, and then man knows how to develop, control, and utilize them. No one can know anybody, however much he may profess to know, except the lover, because in the absence of love the inner eyes are blind; only the outer eyes are open, which are merely the spectacles of the inner eyes. If the sight is not keen, of what use are the spectacles? It is for this reason that we admire all those whom we love, and are blind to the good qualities of those whom we do not love. It is not always that these deserve our neglect, but our eyes, without love, cannot see their goodness. Those whom we love may have bad points too, but as love sees beauty, so we see that alone in them. Intelligence itself in its next step towards manifestation is love. When the light of love has been lit the heart becomes transparent, so that the intelligence of the soul can see through it, but until the heart is kindled by the flame of love the intelligence, which is constantly yearning to experience life on the surface, is groping in the dark.

The whole of creation is made for love. Man is the most capable of it. If we have a stone in our house and we like the stone very much, the stone will not be aware of our love to that degree to which a plant would be conscious of it. If we have a plant, and care for it and tend it, it will respond to our care and will flourish. The animals feel affection. If we keep an animal in the house, how much affection and love it can feel! The tame animals in time grow to be as affectionate as one of the family. It was Joseph's dog that fed him while in the well until he was found by travelers passing that way. It is said that the horse of an Arab who had fallen on the battlefield kept watch over him for three days, guarding his corpse from the vultures until his comrades came. But man, having the largest share of intelligence, has the most love in his nature.

All this shows that creation has evolved from mineral to plant life, from plant to animal life, and from the animal to the human being, showing a gradual development of love through every stage.

The Sufis say that the reason of the whole creation is that the perfect Being wished to know Himself, and did so by awakening the love of His nature and creating out of it His object of love, which is beauty. Dervishes, with this meaning, salute each other by saying, "Ishq Allah, Ma'bud Allah", "God is love and God is the beloved."

A Hindustani poet says, "The desire to see the beloved brought me to earth, and the same desire to see the beloved I am taking with me to heaven."

As love is the source of creation and the real sustenance of all beings, so, if man knows how to give it to the world around him as sympathy, as kindness, as service, he supplies to all the food for which every soul hungers. If man knew this secret of life he would win the whole world, without any doubt.

Love can always be discerned in the thought, speech, and action of the lover, for in his every expression there is a charm which shows as a beauty, tenderness. and delicacy. A heart burning in love's fire has a tendency to melt every heart with which it comes in contact. Love produces such a charm in the lover that while he loves one all love him.

The magnetism of love is thus explained by a Hindustani poet: "Why should not every heart be melted into drops before the flame that my heart has sustained all through my life? As I have all my life shed tears with the pain of love, the lovers make pilgrimage to my mournful grave."

It was to teach this lesson of love that Christ said, "I will make you fishers off men."

Everyone is drawn to me, to become my friend, but none divines what it is in my heart that draws", said Jelal-ud-Din Rumi.

Love is inherent in every soul. All the occupations of life, however important or unimportant, in some way or other tend towards love; therefore no one in the world can be called entirely loveless. Love is the only thing that every soul brings to earth with it; yet after coming to earth man partakes of all the qualities of loveliness. If it were not so, we would have been as bitter, as callous, as angry, as full of hatred when we were born as we are now. The infant has no hatred. A little child that we have scolded will in a few minutes time come and embrace us.

To love, to adore, to worship someone with whom we are connected neither by birth, race, creed, nor in any worldly connection, comes from the love of the soul. Sometimes people fall in love at first sight, sometimes the presence of someone draws a person like a magnet, sometimes one sees a person and feels, "I might have known him all my life", sometimes one speaks with another person and finds an intimacy of understanding as if the souls understood each other; all this is accosted for by the idea of soul-mates.

A heart lightened by love is more precious than all the gems and jewels of the world. There are as many different kinds of hearts as there are different substances in the world. There are hearts of metal which take a long time and much fire of love to heat, and when once heated will melt and may be molded as you wish for the moment, but soon afterwards turn cold. There are hearts of wax which melt instantly at the sight of the fire, and if there is a wick of ideal, they will keep their flame until they become non-existent. There are hearts of paper which are set alight by a slight touch of the fire and turn into ashes in one moment.

Love is like the fire; its glow is devotion, its flame is wisdom, its smoke is attachment, and its ashes detachment. Flame rises from glow, so it is with wisdom, which rises from devotion. When love's fire produces its flame it illuminates the devotee's path in life like a torch, and all darkness vanishes.

When the life-force acts in the soul it is love, when it acts in the heart it is emotion, and when in the body it is passion. Therefore the most loving person is the most emotional, and the most emotional is the most passionate, according to the plane of which he is most conscious. If he is most awake in the soul he is loving, if awakened in the heart he is emotional, if he is conscious of the body he is passionate. These three may be pictured as fire, flame, and smoke. Love is fire when in the soul, it is a flame when the heart is kindled by it, and it is as smoke when it manifests through the body.

The first love is for the self. If illuminated, man sees his true benefit and he becomes a saint. In the absence of illumination man becomes so selfish that he becomes a devil.
The second love is for the opposite sex. If it is for love's sake it is heavenly; if it is for passion's sake it is earthly. This, if it is quite pure, can certainly take away the idea of the self, but the benefit is slight and the danger is great.
The third love is for the children, and this is the first service to God's creatures. To reserve it for one's children only is like appropriating to oneself what is given to us as a trust by the Creator, but if this love expands to embrace the whole creation of the Heavenly Father, it raises man to be among the chosen ones of God.

The love of the parents for the children is much greater than the love of the children towards them, for while the parents' thought is all centered in the children, the children's thought is for themselves first.

Someone asked the Prophet, Whose love is greater, the children's love for their parents or the parents" for their children? He said, "The parents" love is greater, for while they do all things with the thought that their children may grow and be happy and will live after them, as if they expect to live in the life of their children after their death. Even worthy children think that some day the parents will die, and with this thought they render them what little service they can."

The questioner asked, Of the parents, whose love is greater?" The Prophet said, "The mother's; the greater respect and service is due to her, for heaven lies at her feet."

The love of the parents is most blessed, for this love is clear as crystal.

There is a well-known story of Shirvan Bhagat, who was devoted to his aged parents, who had reached the age when they were helpless and entirely dependent upon the service of their only son. Shirvan was so devoted to them that he sacrificed all freedom and pleasure in life in their service. He gently attended to their calls, and bore with patience all the difficulties that one funds in association with the aged.

The parents one day said that they greatly wished they had once in their lives made a pilgrimage to Kashi. This worthy son at once consented to their wish, and, as in those days there was no other means of travelling, he undertook to accomplish the journey on foot. He made baskets in which he placed his old parents and lifted them on to his back, and thus set out on a journey of thousands of miles, through many forests and mountains, crossing rivers on his way.

He traveled for months in this way, but before he arrived at their destination a misfortune happened. Shirvan, at his parents" request, set down his baskets on the ground and went to fetch some water. When he drew near to the river he was stuck by the arrow of Raja Dasheratha, who had aimed at a deer and by accident hit him. Hearing the deep sigh of a man the Raja went to him, and was grieved beyond expression.

He said, Is there anything that I can do for you, O man?" Shirvan said, "I am dying. I have only one desire, and that is to give my parents this water; they are thirsty in the heat of the sun." "That is all?" the Raja asked. "I will do it with great pleasure as my first duty." Shirvan said, "If you wish to do anything more then look after them and see that they are carried to Kashi, although I doubt whether they will live any longer after I am gone."

The Raja went, bearing water in his hands, and gave it to the old parents without saying a word to them, fearing they might not drink it, hearing the voice of a stranger. The parents said, "O worthy son, all our life we have never seen you vexed; this is the first time that you have handed us the bowl of water without your loving word which always gives us new life." Raja Dasheratha burst into tears, and told them of the death of their son. They, hearing this, could not live to drink the water. They lived only on the love of their son. Each of them heaved a deep sigh, "O, our beloved Shirvan", and passed away.

This story has since become a tradition in India, and there are followers of this tradition who carry baskets on their shoulders and travel about, teaching the virtue of devotion and service to parents.

When love is centered in one object it is love. When it is for several objects it is named affection. When it is like a cloud it is called infatuation. When its trend is moral it is devotion. When it is for God, the omnipresent and omnipotent, in fact, the whole Being, then it is called divine love, the lover becomes holy.

There is no greater power than love. All strength comes with the awakening of love in the heart. People say, "He is tenderhearted, he is weak," but there are many who do not know what strength springs from the heart that becomes tender in love. A soldier fights on the battle-field for love of his people. Every work that one does in love is done with all strength and power. Fear and reason, which limit power, cannot stand against love. A hen, timid as she is, can withstand a lion for the love of her young ones. There is nothing too strong, too powerful for a loving heart.

The power of love accomplishes all things in life as does the power of dynamite that conquers the world. But when dynamite explodes it sets everything on fire, and so it is with love: when it is too intense it becomes a wheel of destruction, and everything goes amiss in the life of the lover. That is the mystery that accounts for all the pain and misery in the life of a lover. Still, the lover is the gainer in both cases. If he has mastered the situation he is a master; if he has lost everything he is a saint.

Love is above law, and law is beneath love. There is no comparison between them; one is from heaven and the other from earth. Where love dies law begins. Therefore law can never find a place for love, nor can love ever limit itself within law, one being limited, the other being as unlimited as life. The lover can give no reason why he loves a certain one, for there is a reason for everything except love.

Time and space are in the hands of love. A journey of miles will become a few yards in the presence of the beloved, and yards become miles in his absence. A day of separation in love is equal to a thousand years, and a thousand years of the beloved's presence are not even as long as a day.

If there is any protecting influence in the world, it is no other than love. In all aspects of life, wherever we find protection, its motive is always love, and no one can have trust in any protection, however great, except the protection that love offers. If a giant were to frighten a child, the child would say, "I will tell my mother." The strength and power of any man is too small in comparison with love's protection which the mother affords her child.

Love can heal better than anything in the world. There is nothing like a mother's touch when a child is in pain. There can be no greater cure than the presence of the beloved in the illness of the lover. Even cats and dogs are healed by a little pat of love.

For thought-reading, for sending and receiving telepathic messages, people try psychical processes in vain. If they only knew that the secret of all occult and psychical phenomena lies in love! The lover knows all: the pleasure, the displeasure, the happiness and unhappiness, the thoughts and imaginations, of the beloved. No time, no space, stands in his way, for a telepathic current is naturally established between the lover and the beloved. The lover's imagination, thought, dream, and vision, everything tells him all about the object of his love.

Concentration, which is the secret of every attainment in life, and the chief thing in all aspects of life, especially in the path of religion and mysticism, is a natural thing in love. The loveless will strive for years in this path, and will always fail to center their minds on one object; but love compels the lover, holding before his admiring view the vision of the beloved. Therefore the lover need not concentrate his mind; his love itself is his concentration which gives him mastery over all things in the world. The lover attains the object of his love by the power of concentration; and if he does not attain the object, then he rises beyond it. In either case the lover has his reward.

LOVE

Men are terrified of a woman's depth of love and the energy that moves as a woman's sexuality and emotions. And, at the same time, men want nothing more in this life than to merge completely with a woman's devotional love and wild energy. Only as a man outgrows his fear can he handle a woman's tremendous love-energy without running. And only such a man is worthy of your devotional offering in a committed intimacy

LOVE

LOVE

Love comes first. That must be the ideal. When two people feel an unconditional attraction for each other, and are ready to sacrifice for one another, they are truly in love. Then only are they ready for an intimate relationship in marriage. Mere possessiveness won't do. When one marriage partner tries to control the other, it shows a lack of real love. But when they express their love in continual thoughtfulness for the true happiness of the other, it becomes divine love. In such a relationship we have a glimpse of the Divine.
In the state of love, no matter what you do, it’s going to be good.

The relationship that exists between friends is the grandest of human loves. Friendly love is pure, because it is without compulsion.  Such pure friendship has existed between saints and between others who truly love God. If you once know divine love, you will never part with it, for there is nothing else like it in the whole universe.
In the universal sense, love is the divine power of attraction in creation that harmonizes, unites, binds together. It is opposed by the force of repulsion, which is the outgoing cosmic energy that materializes creation from the cosmic consciousness of God. Repulsion keeps all forms in the manifested state through maya, the power of delusion that divides, differentiates, and disharmonizes. The attractive force of love counteracts cosmic repulsion to harmonize all creation and ultimately draw it back to God. Those who live in tune with the attractive force of love; achieve harmony with nature and their fellow beings, and are attracted to blissful reunion with God.

Love gives without expecting anything in return. I never think of anyone in terms of what he can do for me. And I never profess love to someone because he has done something for me. If I didn't actually feel love, I wouldn't pretend to give it; and since I feel it, I give it. Love cannot be had for the asking; it comes only as a gift from the heart of another. Be certain of your feeling before you say to anyone, 'I love you'. Once you give your love, it must be forever. Not because you want to be near that person, but because you want perfection for that soul. To wish for perfection for the loved one, and to feel pure joy in thinking of that soul, is divine love; and that is the love of true friendship.

Love gives joy. We love love because it gives us such intoxicating happiness. So love is not the ultimate the ultimate is bliss.

Real love is when you are constantly watching the progress of the soul. As soon as you cater to someone’s physical desires and bad habits you are not loving that soul anymore. You are just pleasing that person to avoid ill will. No matter how unpleasant it is to tell a friend that he is wrong, if you say it with love in your heart and stand firm on it, sometimes that person will respect you if you are right. If you are wrong, even then he will know that you did it with sincerity, out of love.

SCOTT CATAMAS TESTIMONIALS
"We called Scott to facilitate our separation after 13 years. Within 90 minutes, we had reconnected beyond what we thought was possible. Scott & his tools accomplished more in one session than a year of marriage therapy. We have a new & mutually rewarding relationship now". JB, Kentucky

"Dear Scott. You are such an amazing, inspiring person. Keep spreading peace and joy and love to the many relationships you work your magic with. Thank you for your sage words and deep compassion. You are greatly loved by our family and community." MD, San Diego

"Scott, Words don't seem to convey the absolute gratitude I feel for having you in my life. Your brilliance today was miraculous - you have such an incredible gift! You have most likely, in one session, saved me from years and years of torment. Your compassion has set the tone for the following weeks and months ahead. I know this is only the first step, and there is much work for me in the future. But I am convinced now, more than ever, that this process is the win/win/win I was trying to picture for my family. I am indebted to your service, and I couldn't possibly come close to thanking you enough." Robyn Mason, Novato, CA

"Scott has been INSTRUMENTAL in my journey towards cultivating a relationship that matches ME. As a trained coach with NVC training myself, I admire his high level of skill, persistence, and clarity when in sessions. Scott has a way of bringing conversations back around to their essence and kept us on track when we really needed it, while also allowing space for processing to occur. He has boldly given me feedback and direction which was completely unpalatable at the time, and which fully supported me in having a great life now. Scott has always held a firm respect for both me and my partner while also helping me to see more plainly my part in the matter(s). My work with Scott has been invaluable, has helped me let go when I needed to, and to remember that we are all just doing our best and that we all have precious needs which we are so intent to meet. I highly recommend Scott as a coach!" KP, Sebastapol, CA

"Scott is a masterful guide in the intimate realms of the heart. I HIGHLY recommend his coaching, classes or workshops for any couples who have experienced a loss of love in relationship. You can find the flame again and Scott will help you rediscover, rekindle or help you to keep it burning bright!" NM, Marin, CA

"We are very honored to host Scott again for this exciting new workshop. I have found his insight and easy-to-integrate tools and practices absolutely invaluable in improving not just how we speak, but how we see the world. I can't recommend this work enough. It is truly life-changing." A&H, Santa Cruz, CA

"Scott, everybody can benefit from your dynamic tools for joyful relationships. Congratulations with this meaningful work! May these tools be passed onto the children. "Joy-full relationships make better marriages, make healthier families, healthier children, healthier society. Thank you for your sacred mission. Let me know when you are coming back to LA." AG, Los Angeles, CA

"Dear Scott, I cannot tell you the amount of influence you have had on my life since our first meeting, it's pretty amazing. I just had the pleasure of helping a friend through a challenging situation worksheet and I was able to log on to your website and forward the worksheets along with our answers to their email after we went through the steps. It gave me chills and I'm sure your experiences are much more intense than this, but I am grateful for the resources you have provided us." CP, Lexington, KY

Also, the harmony and happiness in my family life increased tremendously.

6 Bodily Tissues That Can Be Regenerated Through Nutrition

6 Bodily Tissues That Can Be Regenerated Through Nutrition

It may come as a surprise to some, especially those with conventional medical training, but the default state of the body is one of ceaseless regeneration. Without the flame-like process of continual cell turnover within the body – life and death ceaselessly intertwined – the miracle of the human body would not exist.

In times of illness, however, regenerative processes are overcome by degenerative ones. This is where medicine may perform its most noble feat, nudging the body back into balance with foods, herbs, nutrients, healing energies, i.e. healing intention. Today, however, drug-based medicine invariably uses chemicals that have not one iota of regenerative potential to the contrary, they almost always interfere with bodily self-renewal in order to suppress the symptoms against which they are applied.

Despite the outright heretical nature of things which stimulate healing and regeneration vis-à-vis the conventional medical system which frowns upon, or is incredulous towards, spontaneous remission in favor of symptom suppression and disease management, over the course of the past few years of trolling MEDLINE we have collected a series of remarkable studies on the topic...

Nerve Regeneration  There are actually a broad range of natural compounds with proven nerve-regenerative effects. A 2010 study published in the journal Rejuvenation Research, for instance, found a combination of blueberry, green tea and carnosine have neuritogenic (i.e. promoting neuronal regeneration) and stem-cell regenerative effects in an animal model of neurodegenerative disease. Other researched neuritogenic substances include:

Curcumin

Lion’s Mane Mushroom
Apigenin (compound in vegetables like celery)
Blueberry
Ginseng
Huperzine
Natto
Red Sage
Resveratrol
Royal Jelly
Theanine
Ashwaganda
Coffee (trigonelline)

There is another class of nerve-healing substances, known as remyelinating compounds, which stimulate the repair of the protective sheath around the axon of the neurons known as myelin, and which is often damaged in neurological injury and/or dysfunction, especially autoimmune and vaccine-induced demyelination disorders. It should also be noted that even music and falling in love have been studied for possibly stimulating neurogenesis, regeneration and/or repair of neurons, indicating that regenerative medicine does not necessary require the ingestion of anything; rather, a wide range of therapeutic actions may be employed to improve health and well-being, as well.

Liver Regeneration
Glycyrrhizin, a compound found within licorice, and which we recently featured as a powerful anti-SARS virus agent, has also been found to stimulate the regeneration of liver mass and function in the animal model of hepatectomy. Other liver regenerative substances include:
Carvacrol (a volatile compound in oregano)
Curcumin
Korean Ginseng
Rooibos
Vitamin E

Liver Regeneration

Beta-Cell Regeneration – Unfortunately, the medical community has yet to harness the diabetes-reversing potential of natural compounds. Whereas expensive stem cell therapies, islet cell transplants, and an array of synthetic drugs in the developmental pipeline are the focus of billions of dollars of research, annually, our kitchen cupboards and backyards may already contain the long sought-after cure for type 1 diabetes. The following compounds have been demonstrated experimentally to regenerate the insulin-producing beta cells, which are destroyed in insulin dependent diabetes, and which once restored, may (at least in theory) restore the health of the patient to the point where they no longer require insulin replacement.

Gymenna Sylvestre ("the sugar destroyer")

Nigella Sativa ("black cumin")
Vitamin D
Curcumin (from the spice Turmeric)
Arginine
Avocado
Berberine (found in bitter herbs such as Goldenseal and Barberry)
Bitter Melon
Chard (yes, the green leafy vegetables)
Corn Silk
Stevia
Sulforaphane (especially concentrated in broccoli sprouts)

Beta Cell Regeneration

Hormone Regeneration

there are secret agogues, which increase the endocrine glands' ability to secrete more hormone, and there are substances that truly regenerate hormones which have degraded (by emitting electrons) into potentially carcinogenic "transient hormone" metabolites. One of these substances is vitamin C. A powerful electron donor, this vitamin has the ability to contribute electrons to resurrect the form and function of estradiol (estrogen; E2), progesterone, testosterone, for instance. In tandem with foods that are able to support the function of glands, such as the ovaries, vitamin C may represent an excellent complement or alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
Cardiac Cell Regeneration
Not too long ago, it was believed that cardiac tissue was uniquely incapable of being regenerated. A new, but rapidly growing body of experimental research now indicates that this is simply not true, and there is a class of heart-tissue regenerating compounds known as neocardiogenic substances. Neocardiogenic substances are able to stimulate the formation of cardiac progenitor cells which can differentiate into healthy heart tissue, and they include the following

Resveratrol

Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero)
Red Wine Extract
Geum Japonicum
N-acetyl-cysteine

Another remarkable example of cardiac cell regeneration is through what is known as fetomaternal trafficking of stem cells through the placenta. In a recent article we discussed the amazing process known as "fetal microchimerism" by which the fetus contributes stem cells to the mother which are capable of regenerating her damaged heart cells, and possibly a wide range of other cell types.

Cartilage/Joint/Spine Regeneration

Curcumin and resveratrol have been shown to improve recovery from spinal cord injury. Over a dozen other natural compounds hold promise in this area, which can be viewed on our Spinal Cord Injury page. As far as degenerative joint disease, i.e. osteoarthritis, there are a broad range of potentially regenerative substances, with 50 listed on our osteoarthritis research page.

Ultimately, regenerative medicine threatens to undermine the very economic infrastructure that props up the modern, drug-based and quite candidly degenerative medical system. Symptom suppression is profitable because it guarantees both the perpetuation of the original underlying disease, and the generation of an ever-expanding array of additional, treatment-induced symptoms.

This is the non-sustainable, infinite growth model which shares features characteristic of the process of cancer itself - a model, which by its very nature, is doomed to fail and eventually collapse. Cultivating diets, lifestyles and attitudes conducive to bodily regeneration can interrupt this pathological circuit, and help us to attain the bodily freedom that is a precondition for the liberation of the human soul and spirit, as well.

Just Love

You want love.

I want love too.

Underneath everything we do is the desire to be loved.

And to love.

Ideally, it permeates all of your words and actions, this sprinkling of love.

Whether you are asking your lover to pick her clothes up off the floor (although in a passion-strewn frenzy, such things can be forgiven. Ah, the power of great sex.);

Or your child has ignored your request to go to bed;

Or the barrista makes your ceremonial, non-milk matcha with milk again (ahem);

How many ways can you stay in love?

Love is an overarching feeling. It can film the room and the universe with its enormity.

It is also a conscious choice, moment-to-moment, to be loving.

In the end, your withholding love from others when they “f**k up” and “don’t do things the right way” diminishes you.

The more you radiate love, you constantly lift your vibration. You attract more love. It becomes so that an unloving word now sounds cacophonous coming out of your mouth.

Sometimes, a couple (or parent and child) have gone so long being defended against each other, that the idea of being loving is unimaginable. They’ve forgotten. It’s been that long.

You can change it in an instant.

If you decide to.

Every moment holds within it a new blueprint for the future. You can choose.

Then you have to remain committed to the choice. And committed to love.

I don’t watch (or have a) television. But I do once in a while check out shows online that I hear some interesting tidbit about.

About a month ago, I discovered The Newsroom on HBO.

What a beautiful show.

The acting, the dialogue, the ideas.

In the first episode, a broadcast team decides to run a news show and essentially change the direction of what all news channels have become: corporate-owned, very-curated versions of “news.”

When discussing this job-threatening, reputation-threatening move, one of the guys says, “We did it because... we just decided to.”

You just decide to.

You just decide to be more loving.

And it is done.

A bad habit or an addiction is a choice we make so quickly we're not even aware we're making it.

So you decide to change it. And then you remind yourself in every moment to keep making the better, stronger, more heart-honoring choice.

To love.

Bud
