THE SIXTH CHAKRA AND OPENING THE THIRD EYE

THE SIXTH CHAKRA AND OPENING THE THIRD EYE

The sixth CHAKRA is known as the 3rd eye. According to the yogis, the pituitary gland of the sixth CHAKRA and the pineal gland of the seventh chakra must join essences to open the 3rd eye.

PITUITARY GLAND

The master gland is about the size of a pea, located behind the center of our forehead, between our eyes. The sixth chakra is called the Brow Chakra. It is the main control center that sends messages to all the other glands from its two lobes, the posterior and the anterior. It prompts the proper growth of glands and organs and regulates sexual development.
This gland is called the “seat of the mind”. The frontal lobe regulates emotional thoughts like poetry and music. The anterior lobe regulates concrete thought and intellectual concepts.
The pineal gland is known as the “seat of illumination, intuition and cosmic consciousness”. The pineal gland compares to the pituitary gland as intuition is to reason.

PINEAL GLAND
This cone shaped gland is located in the middle of the brain behind and just above the pituitary gland. The pineal gland contains pigment like that found in the eyes and is connected to the optic thalami. It controls the action of light upon our body. The pineal gland is located in the posterior end of the third ventricle of the brain and the pituitary gland is located in the roof of the third ventricle. The joining of the essences of these two glands in the third ventricle opens the Third Eye.
The PINEAL gland acts in two ways to inhibit the action of the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is responsible for activating adolescence and the beginning of sexuality. The pineal gland checks the pituitary gland to prevent premature sexual awakening. Human thought is regarded as a result of suspended action, and the pineal gland inhibits the immediate discharging of thoughts into action. This inhibition causes us to look inward and to deeply ponder our actions and reactions.
Introversion is neccessary for self-realization. It displaces attention from the outer world to the inner. When the external world disappears, the circle of consciousness contracts. Primary attention is focused upon the inner self. Inner attention magnetizes “spiritual light” into the PINEAL gland.

THE THIRD VENTRICLE
This narrow opening lies near the base of the cerebral hemispheres and separates the two thalamic areas. These areas are the brain’s “storehouse” of sensory perceptions. When the pituitary and pineal glands are fully developed and stimulated through meditation on the sixth and seventh chakras, their vibrations fuse and the Third Eye is activated. Once it is open there is personal access to higher knowledge. This is the “Eye of the Soul”.
Shiva yoga practices concentrate on awakening the pineal gland. It is often dormant because the third dimensional self is focused on the outer sensory world rather than the higher spheres. Cosmic light descends to connect the individual through the optic thalamic nerve of the crown chakra. Once Kundalini energy has risen to the pituitary gland, it merges with the cosmic light the pineal gland has received in the third ventricle.

MYSTICAL MARRIAGE
The human brain resembles a human androgynous embryo. The pituitary holds the positive, masculine charge and the pineal holds a negative, feminine charge. When masculine and feminine energies meet, it's known as the Mystical Marriage. This initiates the birth of multidimensional consciousness and conscious passage into the fifth dimension and beyond.
Rising Kundalini pulls energy up from the Earth through nerve channels, into the medulla oblongata, through the pons area of the brain and down into the pituitary gland, behind the eyes. Increasing pituitary radiations pass through the third ventricle to awaken the pineal, which received light from the higher dimensions. The feminine earth energy merges with the masculine pituitary gland and the feminine pineal gland receives the masculine unmanifest energy from Spirit. When the two awakened chakras’ essences meet in the third ventricle, there is the union and harmony of spirit into matter as the multidimensional forces of spiritual light merge with the matter of our third dimensional brain.

THE 3rd EYE

The opened 3rd eye is known as the Eye of Horus and the Horn of the Unicorn. The Temple of Maat in early Egypt was dedicated to the process of opening the Third Eye. The Third Eye is an etheric, or fourth dimensional, eye. It acts as a sensitive receiver and transmitter, by which vibrations of many types can be translated, interpreted and dispersed into our third dimensional brains for gaining wisdom and illumination. Inner planes, thought forms, and higher entities are perceived through the 3rd eye. A clearer sense of cause and effect are acquired.
Eyes need a lens to give meaning to perceived light sensations. The 3rd eye’s lens is located in the aura, just in front of the sixth chakra. Psychic construction of this lens is part of the discipline that leads to the accurate perception with the inner eye. Using this point in the aura (between the eyes and the center of the forehead) as a focal point during meditation, you can facilitate the development of the 3rd eye’s lens. Using this facilitates theta wave consciousness.

THE SIXTH CHAKRA
A circle surrounds the symbols for the first five chakras. Not so with the sixth and seventh chakras. These two represent expansion of consciousness beyond the confining “circle” of the third dimensional self.

LOCATION: Known as the Brow Chakra, is between the eyes in the center of the forehead.

PETALS: These 96 turning petals accelerate into a swirling vortex when the Third Eye is opened.

NOTES AND MANTRAS: The note is high A and the mantra is “aum” or “om”. “Om” is used by many traditions to achieve theta wave consciousness.

COLOR: Indigo. Children born now are called “Indigo Children” because they are born with their 3rd eye fully opened. They will become our leaders. I am one of those.

RULES: Rules intuition and imagination. It is associated with parts of consciousness concerned with a spiritual view of life. Known as the Home of Spirit, it has the ability to inform us of the motivation behind actions. We observe the outer life from an inner point of view. Inner vision is ruled by this chakra. Through meditation upon the brow chakra, you gain inspiration and vision of your purpose / destiny. The brow chakra rules dreaming.

SENSE: These two chakras rule higher senses. The sixth chakra rules the higher senses of telepathy, empathy, ESP, and other latent abilities within 85% of the brain which we don't normally use.

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN: Sagittarius/Jupiter, divinely inspired thought, higher knowledge; flashes of intuition of Aquarius/Uranus; imagination, intuition, and access to inner truths through devotion of Pisces/Neptune.

CONSCIOUSNESS: Expansion of third dimensional consciousness to encompass the conscious perception of the fourth dimension. This means we remember inner travels, either through sleep or meditation. You learn to integrate inspiration, illumination and knowledge gained in daily life.

PERSONAL TIMELINE: The stage of life where self-realized adults learned to live in harmony with the expanded SELF and others. This doesn't mean that you never have problems, they don’t seem to be “problems”. You experience difficulties as initiations through which you grow and expand consciousness. The true self is a multidimensional being who has created a hologram of its essence into the lower dimensions to gather experiences. Self-realized adult feel unity with "All That Is" and are aware of responsibilities.

SOCIAL TIMELINE: Near future. By surviving today's challenges and connecting to the Earth's consciousness, you'll experience the the Enlightened Planetary Civilization, also known as the EPC.
We are moving into a Golden Age where all live in constant connection with our multidimensional self. Many who have that experience now. Consciously merge with God/Goddess/All That Is, surrender to Oneness, be free of fear and choose a reality where you move on to fourth and fifth dimensional Earth.

ENDOCRINE GLAND: The pituitary gland, discussed in depth in “Opening the 3rd eye.”

NERVE PLEXUS: The carotid plexus rules the nerves of the face, sinuses, vision and hearing.

CLEAR: Enhanced intellectual and psychic abilities. Memory is good and perceptions are accurate. Through your ability to consciously travel into the higher dimensions of our inner reality, your ability to visualize is amplified, your imagination is expanded and you're able to project visions and imaginations into your outer world. Sinuses are clear, hearing and vision are amplified by the ability to use innate inner senses to amplify information gained by the five senses.

UNCLEAR: Difficult focusing in life. Mental health problems, detached and distant from others, and suffering intellectual stagnation. Headaches and fuzzy thinking, sinus problems, vision and hearing problems.

EARTH CHAKRA: Located in the Himalayas, Tibet, an area that has cherished consciousness expansion and travel into the inner, higher planes of reality.

DIMENSIONS: Rules the theta waves of expanded awareness, intellectual and psychic excellence. This chakra represents conscious exploration of the higher dimensions found within SELF. With meditation upon the sixth chakra you can open awareness to encompass the fourth dimension up to the threshold of the fifth dimension.

SUMMARY: The sixth chakra represents the first step toward the journey Home. Once opened, higher senses are activated and perceptions of life expand. You're unable to limit self to the physical rules of separation from others and from self. You cannot limit yourselves to the “boxes” of mundane life.
Your journey has begun and divine discontent will overtake you if you turn away from greater life. The reward is that your creativity is enhanced as you tap into your inner storehouse of inspiration and illumination. Seek within for answers, and use outer resources for validation - rather than as the only source of information.
Jobs change, friends change and relationships change. New ones that can accept and appreciate our greater self manifest. Some remain our true companions. With expanded resources you find others to help, as you help others.
This represents our ability to imagine an inner world filled with life. It is important to believe in imagination, for then you believe in your true Self radiating from inner realities into everyday life. It is your imagination that allows you to release illusions of the third dimension and travel on your Path to Soul.
