Jacob's ladder (William Blake's version is to the left) comes from the Book of Genesis. Jacob had a dream of Angels ascending and descending to and from heaven. There's that word 'ascending' again. Thus, in esoteric teachings it has become a symbol for the way back to heaven through the ascension. This is a difficult process for all atheists and many scientists to understand. Rather than wrap their minds around that concept, the 'easier' path is to unlock the similar pattern below, rather than the one above. Tampering with the spiral staircase of DNA is an attempt to unlock the secrets of heaven and immortality by some. They did the same thing on Atlantis which helped cause the karmic cataclysm the flood. Enoch's great grandson, Noah, saved many animals but not those created by the misanthropic scientists. Guess what they're baaaaaack! By the way, avant-garde scientists e.g.. Bruce Lipton (The Biology of Belief), are showing the Divine way of changing DNA. Continuous positive thoughts of Love, good feelings, etc. can actually effect change in DNA.
